What you'd do
You design and maintain the services behind the platform: APIs, data, and auth. You partner with frontend, data, and product so the system stays secure, fast, and reliable for clinics and patients.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services with Node.js and Express.
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs for availability and scale.
- Work with PostgreSQL with attention to integrity and performance.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization.
- Integrate APIs with the frontend team.
- Monitor performance and resolve issues proactively.
- Contribute to microservices architecture.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold backend best practices.
Who we're looking for
- 3+ years of backend experience, ideally with Node.js.
- Strong Express, PostgreSQL, and REST API design skills.
- Experience with microservices and containers (Docker).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or DigitalOcean).
- Security best practices in backend development.
- Git and collaborative workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork.
- Agile experience is a plus.
