What you'd do

As a General Accountant, you will play a key role in managing MedAlert’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. You will handle daily accounting tasks, prepare financial reports, and support the overall financial operations of the company. Your work will contribute to the financial health and transparency of MedAlert, enabling the company to continue its mission of revolutionizing healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Who we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a healthcare or tech environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other departments.
